Bugbites Bug Hop Part 2 Entry

I have to say, I don't think I've ever had this much trouble trying to come up with something. I feel like I've completely run out of ideas...sure I have LOTS and LOTS of blogs that I follow for inspiration (and they're ALL amazing!) but I think I just don't have anything to work with.....

I looked through all of my cartridges, and all of my SVG's....and I didn't like any of the summer cuts. I don't have any summer-esque paper.....and I feel like I just threw this together to get it over with....(and thank goodness it is!). Anyway, I'm gonna quit complaining and show it to you...

 Here's is my project :

I used the drink from ScrappingTable. I used the lemon from I had to hand cut the straw and the cherry, and I used a real drink umbrella. The little caterpillar is from Stretch Your Imagination, and I used the Martha Stewart flower border punch.

I decorated the lemon with the clear Sakura Jelly Roll pens, to make it look a little juicy, and around the cup with white gel pen.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE how the cup came out, but everything else just seemed forced.....

Thanks for stopping by and listening to my problems, and I apologize for doing so...LOL.

This will be entered into the BugBites Bug Hop.

  2. It looks cute! I know I have lots of days when I'm trying to make something just to make it...not really feeling it. But the card came out cute despite everything!

  3. Cute card. Especially like the colors you used along with the umbrella embellishment.
